Dakota Pointe is located at 3503 43rd St NW in Mandan. The facility houses 10 residents with brain injuries and is licensed as a basic care facility by the State of North Dakota.
Dakota Pointe offers a day program for physically disabled and brain-injured adults. The day program is focused on providing a structured day of activities so individuals can maintain their current level of independence in the surrounding communities. Day program participants are offered group exercise, activities, social service contacts, a full dinner, and two nutritious snacks throughout the day.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Adult, age 18 to 64 with a primary diagnosis of an organic or acquired brain injury
- Be disabled as determined by Social Security disability criteria
- Be capable of directing his/her own care or have a (legally) responsible party act in his/her behalf
- Be a Medicaid recipient or have some other established method of payment
- Have a current neuropsychological evaluation or willing to obtain an evaluation
- Have the capacity, desire and motivation to maintain or improve skills needed for a greater amount of independence and a more fulfilling life
- Approved for admission by the Dakota Pointe Admissions Committee
