Social and Recreation Services Program
This program is designed to provide activities and tools to adult individuals living in the community, who have sustained a brain injury. The program will work to assist in building support networks, confidence, as well as allow the individual to get out in the community more often. The community activities will be chosen by the individuals who are involved with the program and may include such things as going to the movies, going out to eat, or shopping.
The goals and objectives of the program are to increase community involvement and awareness as well as social and recreational skills so that when the program is complete, one is better able to access desired social and recreational opportunities on their own.
The staff involved will work closely toward meeting each person's individual goals. The program consists of weekly one on one activities with their staff member, bimonthly social groups with an occupational therapist, and a monthly group activity available to everyone involved in the program.
The program costs nothing for the individuals in the program. If you would like to know more about the program please call (701)-663-0376 or email Landon Feil at lfeil@hitinc.org or Tami Berger at tberger@hitinc.org
