Life Skills - Recreation
HIT's Life Skills/Recreation program is designed perfectly for clients who have medical or health issues that prevent them from working, or who do not have vocational goals.
These clients are offered a variety of recreational and volunteer activities in our building at 1402-2nd St. NW in Mandan and in the communities of Bismarck and Mandan.
Monthly they create tray favors for the residents at the Mandan Care Center as well as other volunteer activities. Several of them enjoy time on the computer with their staff, including updating Facebook pages regularly. Often, their days also include sensory activities, physical therapy programs and activities of daily living.
Our goal is to make sure each of the clients in this program enjoys time out of the building at a community activity at least once a week.
