How we are funded

Early Intervention is a program for children and their families that is funded through the Department of Human Services-Developmental Disabilities Division by both state and Medicaid funding. Because Medicaid funding is used to pay for Early Intervention, families are required to apply. If a family chooses not to apply for medical assistance, they can continue to receive infant development services if they agree to privately pay for the service. Medicaid may also be used as a primary/secondary insurance for the child in Early Intervention.
