K.I.D.S. Early Intervention staff have a variety of professional backgrounds. These include: early childhood special educator, general education, child development, nursing, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. In addition to their professional training, staff also have knowledge of early childhood development, adult learning theory, and family and community systems.
An Early Interventionist's role is to ensure that caregivers (parents, grandparents, older siblings, childcare providers, etc.) have the information, encouragement, and materials to make the most of learning opportunities that occur throughout a child's day.
