Welcome to West River Head Start! Our desire is to assist you and your family to become involved with the education of your child at a very early age. You are your child's first teacher and will continue to be their primary teacher and role model throughout their lives.

West River Head Start has 6 center-based sites: 5 classrooms in Mandan and one classroom each in Hebron, Hazen, Beulah, Carson, and New Salem.
Head Start Family Income Guidelines for 2010
Children are eligible to participate in Head Start if they are from families with incomes below the federal poverty level or if their families are eligible for public assistance (TANF or SSI). The 2010 Family Income Guidelines must be used to determine eligibility for Head Start for families who are eligible because they have low incomes.
