Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year!

Are you interested in applying for Head Start? Click on the link below for our application, call our office to have one mailed to you 701-663-9507, or just stop by during business hours.

West River Head Start has classrooms in Mandan, Hebron, Hazen, Carson, and New Salem. We serve children from ages 3 to 5. Our classroom hours are 8AM - 1PM Monday through Thursday.

My child turns 3 during the school year. Can I apply when he/she turns 3?
Yes, you can apply for your child to attend when he/she turns 3...even in the middle of the school year.

How can I get a copy of my child's immunization record?
Call your child's physician or request your child's immunization record online at ND Department of Health Immunization Request Page

3. Proof of income (pay stubs, tax return, SSI, TANF). "Homeless Verification" and "Eligibility Document for Families with Zero Income" only need to be completed if they apply to your situation.

For families with more than 8 persons, add $4,060 for each additional person. Income verification is required when submitting an application. Acceptable documentation includes: tax return, pay stubs, TANF, SSI, foster child.
