news
When the weather is bad or a local emergency or epidemic affects HIT, there are a lot of questions to answer. Will HIT be closed? Does it include West River Head Start? You can get updated information on what's happening at our agency from our website: www.hitinc.org/hotline or by calling 667-7575 to hear a recorded message. The information will be posted on both systems at the same time, and will be the most up-to-date information.

Family Night: Literacy

Head Start believes that a family that reads together succeeds together. Great emphasis is placed on preparing children for reading and ensuring their school readiness. Head Start plays a key role in family literacy by increasing Head Start families' access to materials, activities and services which are essential to family literacy development and assisting parents as adult learners to recognize and address their own literacy skills. Supper will be served for all Head Start families.
